Prompt: Have you ever worried about what others think of you? How did it affect your actions or decisions? Share a personal experience and use hypophora at least once in your response.
Prompt Response: I have, in fact, worried about what others thought about me. I remember I was going to hang out with a few of my friends, but more people were expected to come, so I started panicking about how I looked because I did not want to get made fun of. I switched up my whole outfit and completely changed who I was, and I knew it was not me, but I thought if I didn't want to get made fun of, that was what I should do. Did the group of kids my age really care? No, they actually did not care at all and were really nice. I realized that I spent all that time panicking and changing my appearance was not good. I now know that people don't actually care about your appearance as much as I thought; it ended up being a great learning experience for me.
Summary: Today in class, we took notes on more rhetorical questioning devices. After taking notes on both rhetorical questioning techniques, we practiced each one. We then shared our responses with the class, and by the end of class, we handed in our papers to Mr. Rease for a grade.
Reflection: This lesson helped me better understand and practice rhetorical questioning devices. I learned two new rhetorical questioning devices that will greatly benefit me in the future. After this class lecture and assignment, I feel this will help me with questions like these on future assignments, tests, and quizzes.
